The first compulsory purchase order to secure land for wind power development has been issued in Denmark. As a result, a project of 40, 600 kW Micon turbines, being built by utility Sønderjyllands Højspændingsværk (SH) on Rejsby Heath near Brøns in southern Jutland, is now going ahead. The order was issued after one of 20 land owners affected by the project refused to allow installation of wind turbines.
