Woolnorth third phase roaring along

Construction of the 75 MW third stage of the Woolnorth Wind Farm, being developed by Roaring 40s at Studland Bay in Tasmania, is underway. Due for completion by early 2007, the project will comprise 25 Vestas 3 MW V90 machines -- the largest turbines operating in Australia, standing 80 metres tall. The development will bring Woolnorth's total generating capacity to 140 MW, making it the largest wind farm in Australia. "The project will generate valuable jobs in the Tasmanian community and significantly increase Roaring 40s wind portfolio," says the company's Mark Kelleher.
