Medicine bow plant status

Colorado customers will not be able to plug into wind powered electricity until at least the end of the year. Power from two Micon 750 kW turbines at Medicine Bow in Wyoming, being erected by Northern Alternative Energy (NAE), was to have been available as early as November 1. It now looks as if the wind plant will not be on line until the end the December, says NAE's Greg Jaunich. The Platte River Power Authority in Colorado is to buy power from the plant for its green pricing programme. Clean power is also to be available in Colorado from

the Ponnequin wind farm (see above).
