EnerTAD picks 2 MW Vestas turbines for 30 MW Apulia wind plant

Italian renewable energy group EnerTAD will use 15, 2 MW turbines supplied by Vestas Italia for its Troia-San Cireo wind farm in the southern region of Apulia. Under the EUR 30 million deal, Vestas Italia will also provide maintenance services on the facility for five years, while EnerTAD has an option on another five turbines. The initial 30 MW is due for completion later this year, while the planned 10 MW addition to the plant is expected in 2006. If all proceed, EnerTAD's total installed wind capacity will rise from the 50 MW it has between Apulia and Lazio to 90 MW.
