Deal signed for DeWind turbines

Wind project developer newcomer Red Project Management and renewable energy investment company BVT, both in Germany, have signed a framework contract for delivery of 17 DeWind wind turbines. The deal includes the 600 kW model, the 1 MW unit and a new 2 MW model. The machines are destined for sites in the inland states of Hesse and Brandenburg in the spring. Red Project Management was founded in early 2001 as a joint venture between turbine manufacturer DeWind and the only German municipal utility listed on the stock exchange, MVV Energie, which holds a 10% stake in DeWind. BVT of Munich is an investment company, financing and operating projects in the wind, hydro and biomass sectors. Red Project Management and BVT have already collaborated on a wind project near Unna in the state of North Rhine Westfalia, where seven, DeWind 1.25 MW turbines will go on-line early next year.
