Danish wind turbine manufacturer NEG Micon has bought the remaining 40% of Spanish wind project developer TAIM NEG Micon Eólica (TNE) and now owns the entire company. TAIM-TFG began as a Spanish company that worked on establishing sites for wind development in Aragón together with Danish Nordtank, which merged with NEG Micon in 1997 (Windpower Monthly, March 1998). According to NEG Micon, TNE holds project rights today to 900 MW in Aragón in the form of so-called "wind strategic plans," which grants the company favourable permission procedures in local administration. The acquisition cost NEG Micon about DKK 56.2 million, paid for in its own shares.
