Work begins on Causeymire 48 MW project

Work has begun on building National Wind Power's 48 MW Causeymire wind farm near Spittal in the far north of Scotland. The 21, 2.3 MW wind turbines are to be supplied by Bonus who will construct the wind farm as turnkey contractor. According to Stuart Quinton-Tulloch of National Wind Power, construction will continue over winter and he expects the plant to be fully commissioned at the end of 2004. When operational, Causeymire will be one of the most powerful wind farms in the UK.
