Irish Airtricity enters US market in joint venture

Irish green electricity trader and wind farm operator Airtricity has entered the US market in a joint venture with developer Ridgeline Energy. The 50-50 partnership hopes to build four wind farms in the Midwest totalling some 300 MW. The new company will be known as Ridgeline Airtricity Ltd. According to Airtricity chairman Eddie O'Connor, Ridgeline brings to the partnership land and local knowledge, while Airtricity can provide the experience and technical know-how.
