Energieteam SARL, the French arm of Germany's Energieteam AG, has received siting permits for its first wind power installations in France. The company developed all five projects, totalling 52 MW. Enercon will supply the turbines. Construction has already begun on the 12 MW Assigny plant in the Seine-Maritime département, which is also the first wind station to be built in the Haute-Normandie region of northwest France. Bricorama, owner of a leading chain of building-supplies stores, is a co-investor. Commissioning is scheduled for the end of the year. Next in line are two 12 MW installations -- Maisnières et Frettemeule and Maisnières et Tilloy-Floriville -- in the Somme département, both for completion in 2006. Also next year, Energieteam will build a 10 MW station at Erbay in the Loire-Atlantique département, and possibly a 6 MW plant at nearby Soudan, though changes in the local zoning regulations for wind development have cast that into doubt. The company says it has applications pending for a further 60 MW.
