Delhi to host World Wind Energy Association conference in 2006

India will host the World Wind Energy Association's fifth World Wind Energy Conference in New Delhi in 2006. The association's third world conference, hosted by the Chinese Wind Energy Association, is to take place in Beijing this year from October 31 to November 4, with the Australian Wind Energy Association hosting the fourth event in the planned series in 2005. Meanwhile, the Indian Wind Energy Association's chairman, Anil Kane, has been appointed vice president of the association and elected as a member of the managing committee. Last year's conference organised by the so-called world wind association was held in South Africa.
