Germany's Repower establishes dedicated maintenance unit in France

The French arm of German wind turbine supplier Repower has established a dedicated maintenance unit at Achicourt near Arras in the Pas-de-Calais department of north-east France to support a growing workload. While only 27.5 MW of Repower turbines are installed to date in France, a further 14 MW will be added this summer (12 MW at La Boutonnier in the Meuse department, and 2 MW at Gavray in the Manche) and at least another 120 MW are scheduled for commissioning by the end of the year, says the company. In the long term, Repower expects to create several dozen maintenance posts in France.
