U.S. greenbacks for India energy aid

Last month United States President Bill Clinton signed a joint statement of co-operation on energy and environment between the US and India. The US will give India $45 million for energy efficiency programs, while another $50 million will go to secure clean air, water and energy. The Export-Import Bank of America will grant another $200 million "for technical support to change the climate of South Asia," Clinton said.
