Kenetech Corp and SeaWest Power Systems -- two of the leading wind companies in the US -- have cancelled their corporate membership of the American Wind Energy Association. Kenetech is ailing financially and is known for never having been that involved in the trade group. SeaWest has reportedly been unhappy since argument within the industry put a stop to California's auction of renewables contracts under the Biennial Resource Plan Update. AWEA chose not to comment on the matter.
