Germany's Ostwind sees first French wind plant up and running

Ostwind International, the French subsidiary of German developer Ostwind, saw its first French wind plant up and running in July. It handed over the key to the 1.2 MW installation at Saint-Clément in the Ardèche department of southern France to a private investor. Enercon supplied the two 600 kW turbines. Next in Ostwind's portfolio is the far more ambitious Fruges project, currently standing at 140 MW (Windpower Monthly, July 2005) and scheduled for the end of 2006.
