Bank finds wind more competitive

Wind turbines are now so close to operating profitably that Germany's Deutsche Ausgleichsbank, which makes soft loans available for wind turbines, has excluded them from a 0.75% drop in interest rates for all commercial renewable projects. The change was made in late February. Twenty year loans for non-wind renewables are now available at an interest rate of just 3.38%, with ten year loans available at 3.26%.
