GE Wind Energy celebrates 1000th, 1.5 MW turbine installation

GE Wind Energy has celebrated the installation of its 1000th, 1.5 MW turbine. The GE workhorse is made in Germany, Spain and the US. Turbine number one thousand was built in Salzbergen in Germany and installed at Salingen near Dortmund in late August as part of a 3 MW wind project being developed by Germania Windpark. GE Wind energy says it has installed 1.5 MW machines in Germany, Spain, the US, the Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, Japan and Sweden.
