EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN), the renewables arm of French utility EDF, has secured a EUR 266 million infrastructure facility to finance six wind power plant in France representing an installed capacity of 197 MW. The facility, arranged by the Royal Bank of Scotland and BBVA, is made up of a loan of EUR 219 million, a VAT facility of EUR 34 million and EUR 13 million in the form of a letter of credit. Of the six plant, 23.5 MW is already on line at Luc-sur-Orbieu in the Aude and Castanet Le Haut in the Hérault, with the rest rolling out over the course of the year in three projects with capacities between 50 MW and 60 MW and one at 11.5 MW.
