Nuclear giant provides customised system to help uptake of wind power on the grid

With the aim of improving its management and uptake of wind power on the grid, French transmission system operator RTE has commissioned the Transmission and Distribution Division of French nuclear giant Areva to supply a customised system to monitor, estimate and forecast the output of grid-connected plant. The system will be based on one already in operation in the United States, Portugal, Spain and Denmark.
