Conciliatory talks between German and European wind associations ongoing

Conciliation talks between the German Bundesverband Windenergie (BWE) and the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) following their bitter falling out over the staging of an international wind energy event in the first half of next year (Windpower Monthly, September 2001) are proceeding well, both sides report. The aim of the talks, still ongoing in late September, is to solve the problem of BWE hosting a "world" wind event in Berlin in June, just after EWEA's "global" event in Paris, which it is hosting together with the backing of all the major wind associations, including that of America.
