Asien Bank loan to IREDA

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $100 million loan to the Indian Renewable Development Agency (IREDA), with 60% of it allocated to financing 35 MW of wind power. The money is being used for the Renewable Energy Development project. The remaining ADB funds will be distributed among biogas, cogeneration, solar and thermal. IREDA has begun organising a number of business meetings, entrepreneur development programmes and workshops to provide information to the renewables industry about ADB's line of credit.
