Public consultation for 100 MW Bald Hills wind farm

Wind Power Pty has applied for a siting permit for its proposed 100 MW Bald Hills wind farm 1.6 kilometres from the coast of Victoria at South Gippsland. An environmental statement is also being prepared. If approved, the A$220 million project could power 65,000 homes. "We are about to mount a public exhibition and consultation with the community," says the company's Stephen Buckle. He adds that a site for 84 turbines is being considered, but it could be less than that depending on the turbines chosen.
