Utility orders turbine from Gamesa Eólica for two more wind plant

Eurus Energy has ordered 31, 2 MW turbines from Gamesa Eólica for two neighbouring projects in Aomori, a 50 MW plant at Nohei in the district of Kamikita-gun and a 12 MW turbine cluster at Shitsukari in nearby Shimokita-gun. Installation is scheduled to begin in the first half of next year. The EUR 43 million deal also includes operation and maintenance (O&M) provided by Gamesa for both sites. Eurus Energy is a renewables joint venture between power giants Tokyo Electric Power Company (60%) and Tomen Corporation (40%). The deal -- Gamesa's first series order for Japan -- marks the realisation of letters of intent signed between Eurus and Gamesa last year.
