Gamesa Eólica may go ahead with the purchase of its closest turbine making rival, Made Tecnologías, put up for sale by utility Endesa. Spain's fair trading body, Servicio de Defensa de la Competencia, had held back the final transaction for public enquiry, but gave its approval last month. Gamesa can now claim to be behind 65.4% of all wind turbines turning Spain, including the 12% contribution to the total by Made machines.
