SUB-CONTRACT TO SECOND WIND INC.

Second Wind Inc is being awarded a $1.2 million sub-contract by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The 18 month contract is one of three made under the Innovative Sub-Systems Programme, says the company's Susan Giordano. The Massachusetts-based company will develop an advanced supervisory control system -- a successor to its Second Wind System -- for utility-grade wind farms.
