A power struggle has just taken place at the top of Britain's number one wind energy opposition group, Country Guardian. Chris Lord-Smith has now emerged as chairman, replacing the organisation's founder member, Joseph Lythgoe. Lord-Smith is no stranger to the glare of the media spotlight. Living in the shadow of the Llandinam wind farm of Mitsubishi machines in Wales he has fought his battle over noise from the turbines in the nation's newspapers and on television.
