OPTION TO BECOME PART OWNERS OFFERED BY UTILITY

Local utility Borgholm Energi AB on the island of Öland plans to build a wind turbine next to the purification plant at the harbour. The utility will offer its customers the option to become part owners of the project. A wind turbine will have great symbolic value, explains Benny Wennberg, manager of the company. "In the purification plant we plan to build a power plant run on gas from waste, and the entire area could be turned into an environment centre."
