Spanish subsidiary starts work on Gueltas 9 MW

Recherches et Développements Éolien (RDE), a subsidiary of Spanish company Agrupación Eólica SL, started work on its first wind project last month, a 9 MW plant at Gueltas, in the Morbihan department of Brittany. AMEC Spie, a company with strong links to UK wind developer AMEC plc, is using six Repower 1.5 MW machines, with completion scheduled for April. RDE has planning applications in for another six plant of 10 MW or 12 MW each and hopes to submit three more before the end of the year. The company also has another 15 or so projects in preparation in various regions of France.
