Snowballing support for wind in Australia

As leading politicians in Australia's states recognise the economic benefits that wind power can bring to depressed rural

areas, their support of the federal government's mandated market for green power certificates is gaining

momentum. So too is their understanding of the need for grid and transmission

upgrades if Australia's wind industry is to live up to its full potential. Much now hangs on the outcome of the current review of the mandate and the action subsequently taken by federal government.
