EWE supplies green power
1 July 1999
The power trading subsidiary of German utility EWE, EWE NaturWatt, is now supplying about 310 households in the Ems-Weser-Elbe region with electricity from wind power plants. The company sells the green power for DEM 0.346/kWh (EUR 0.18 /kWh), generated from EWE's own 19 MW of wind capacity. It has been certified "green" by a supervisory association, Technische Ueberwachungs Verein.
