One of the holding companies of utility Iberdrola has announced the group's intention to invest ESP 30 billion in wind power between now and the end of the century. Upicsa bosses told the financial paper Expans’on that Iberdrola was aiming for a 400 MW wind power target and was planning projects with regional governments and mixed companies. Iberdrola recently signed an agreement to put up 100 MW of wind power in the northern region of Navarre where it already has one 23 MW wind plant. The utility has also installed a study into the viability of a wind plant in the eastern region of Valencia.
