Repowering of FloWind's Altamont Pass wind plants may have been given the go-ahead at a US Bankruptcy Court hearing set for May 29 on the reorganisation of FloWind Corp. If Judge Alan Joroslovsky approved the reorganisation plan, the way was opened for FloWind's wind farms to be be repowered by a group called WindCo. It consists of US energy company FPL, wind turbine maker NEG Micon of Denmark and Britain's Renewable Energy Systems. FloWind, based near San Francisco, sought bankruptcy protection a year ago.
