Most power consumers switch to green in Pennsylvania

Potential for green power is continuing to build in Pennsylvania, the state that has the most active retail electricity market. Some 450,000 homes and businesses, or about 12% of those eligible to switch, have chosen new energy providers, according to state figures. An estimated 91% of homes that change their electricity provider choose to buy green power of other products, says Suzanne Tegen of the San Francisco-based Center for Resource Solutions (CRS), which certifies products as "green-e" in California and Pennsylvania.
