Wind turbine manufacturer Jacobs Energie has installed its first three 1.5 MW machines with rotor diameters of 77 metres at a site in Saxony Anhalt for a local operator. They are new versions of its 1.5 MW/70 turbine. Jacobs Energie has also celebrated the installation of its first turbine in North Rhine Westfalia, a 750 kW unit at Grossenmarpe near Lemgo. It generated 100,000 kWh in its first eight weeks of operation, the company says.
