Cilciffeth turned down again

SWALEC's revised plans for 26 turbines at Cilciffeth in Pembrokeshire, west Wales, were again turned down by Preseli District Council. "We are reconsidering our position on Cilciffeth," says Mike Paffey of Hyder Industrial -- the company formed to accommodate SWALEC's generation business when the utility was taken over by Welsh Water. "But there is still an appeal pending on the original proposal for 41 turbines," he adds. Paffey could not confirm speculation that the newly merged company plans to shed its wind development interests
