Scotland's largest wind farm at 56 MW is approved

The largest wind power plant yet proposed for Scotland has been approved for construction by the Scottish Executive. Fred Olsen Renewables Limited, a subsidiary of Norwegian Fred Olsen AS, has consent for 28 turbines totalling at least 56 MW at Cairn Uish near Rothes in Morayshire. The company is now awaiting the outcome of its application for a similar sized project at Paul's Hill, Ballindalloch.
