Wind prices continue to narrow the gap with the conventionals. The differential is around $0.01/kWh, or less, depending on location. Thus a relatively small premium in recognition of wind's environmental value puts it on a highly competitive footing. Fossil fuel prices are expected to stay low for some time (the present oil price is forecast to fall).
