Spain's Gamesa to supply 2 MW turbine to several projects

Spain's Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica has won two contracts for the supply of its 2 MW wind turbine for projects in Japan. The company's local agent, JF Engineering, will deliver eight of the machines to Japanese wind developer C-Tech Corporation for its 16 MW Misato wind farm in Misato village, Mie-Prefecture. Construction is to start in June with the wind farm due online in December. An additional 2 MW machine will be supplied by another of Gamesa's Japanese agents, Toshiba Plant System, to Japan's largest gas company, Tokyo Gas. The turbine will be installed this April at the gas company's Sodegaura site in Chiba Prefecture and is due online in October. Tokyo Gas will sell the electricity generated to its wholesale subsidiary PPS Ennet KK, as well as other large companies like Osaka Gas and the telephone company NTT.
