New O&M services

Energea, a 100% affiliate of Spanish/American developer Terranova Energy, is the first company to outsource wind plant maintenance, operation and administration services. Terranova, at one time the Spanish subsidiary of US wind developer SeaWest, previously incorporated these services within its Terranova Galicia Services division. With increasing demand, however, Terranova formed Energea as a separate, autonomous company. Energea inherits 108 MW in five wind plant all belonging to developer Eurovento, a Galician joint venture between Terranova and Japan's Tomen Power Corp. Negotiations for maintenance and operation contracts are proceeding for another five developments totalling 150 MW. Terranova Energy is a private company with Spanish and non-Spanish shareholders and offices in Barcelona and San Diego, California. It became independent in 1998 and retains no connection with SeaWest.
