The cost of a kilowatt hour of wind continues to fall as the technology matures and the benefits of series production kick in, thanks largely to huge competitive tenders from the US. Meantime, coal prices have gone up, while gas prices have continued skywards. Forwards prices on the spot markets do not show any sign of the awaited drop in gas prices, certainly not to the level before they started to swing upwards from.
