A new quarterly journal for the wind energy business is being launched in the Spring by publishers John Wiley & Sons Ltd of Chichester in England. Titled "Wind Energy," the journal will concentrate on "technical application papers which describe progress in a way which will appeal to a wide readership," according to Wiley. It is to be edited by Bob Thresher of the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory who will be assisted by David Quarton, of Garrad Hassan in England, Jamie Chapman, of O&M Development in the US, Erik Lundtang Petersen, of Denmark's Risø national laboratory, and Herman Snel of the Netherlands Energy Research Foundation, ECN. Thresher says Wind Energy "will provide a forum for the review, discussion and publication of the scientific and engineering knowledge" related to wind energy development.
