German utility RWE has set its sights on the Korean offshore wind and green hydrogen market through a new partnership with the engineering and construction division of motoring giant Hyundai.
RWE and Hyundai Engineering & Construction plan to cooperate on offshore wind and green hydrogen in South Korea under the terms of a memorandum of understanding.
The partners also envisage working together on offshore wind business opportunities globally.
South Korea’s government aims to have 24GW of offshore wind installed by 2036.
