Iberdrola awarded up to 200MW by German forest manager

Iberdrola Deutschland has been awarded three sites in the latest tender by Forst Baden-Württemberg (ForstBW), the state forest manager.

Together, the 790 hectares could host 25 turbines, providing 170-200MW of wind capacity. The sites are located in Oberreichenbach, Bad Rappenau and Dielheim.

Their approximate capacities would be 100-120MW, 20-25MW and 50-55MW, respectively, with online dates expected during the second half of the decade.

Felipe Montero, CEO of Iberdrola Deutschland, said: "We are delighted to have been awarded the contract by ForstBW and will now enter the detailed planning stage.”
