Envision and Senvion win turbine orders for nearly 800MW Indian wind

Envision Energy and Senvion have secured wind turbine deals for nearly 800MW of capacity in India.

Envision Energy has agreed to supply 198 of its EN 156-3.3MW turbines to JSW Energy, for installation in Karnataka and Maharashtra.

The 653.4MW combined capacity is due to be operational from the end of 2024.

Meanwhile, Senvion has agreed to supply O2 Power with 45 of its M130-2.7 turbines for a combined 121.5MW. The order also includes a multi-year operations and maintenance contract.

Parag Sharma, CEO and Co-Founder of O2 Power, described Senvion’s 2MW-plus series turbines as “perfectly suited to maximise energy production in the varied wind conditions of the states we have shortlisted”.

Deliveries will begin imminently, with most of the capacity set to be commissioned by Q1 2024 and the remainder by Q2 2024.
