Vestas appoints Shell leader as people executive

Wind turbine giant Vestas has appointed a human resources leader at oil major Shell to lead its people and culture division.

Anne Pearce will start as executive vice president of people and culture at Vestas on 2 January 2024. She will also represent the division on Vestas’ executive management team.

Pearce is currently working as vice president of human resources at oil major Shell, and had previously worked in other human resources leadership positions at steelmakers ArcelorMittal and BlueScope Steel.

At Vestas, she will lead efforts to attract, develop and retain employees.

Vestas CEO Henrik Andersen said: “The energy transition requires us to have the right people at the right time and place and elevating our people and culture organisation further is key for us to create the organisation and operations that allow us to grow sustainably in the future.”
