VSB Group, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg and Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank have signed a €211 million project financing deal, to repower the Elster wind project in Wittenberg, Saxony-Anhalt.
It is one of the largest repowering projects in Europe, which will see 50 outdated turbines replaced with 16 modern, more efficient ones, providing 105.6MW. Completion is expected by the first half of 2025.
