German developer PNE has acquired a 51% stake in UK-based digital firm Bitbloom, hoping to boost its strength in AI-supported technology and optimise the technical capacity of its own wind portfolio.
PNE also expects to offer owners and operators of renewable energy plants an expanded range of digital and analytical services, the company said.
Already used by PNE in its own wind portfolio, Bitbloom offers data analytics, monitoring software and services. Bitbloom will now accelerate product development, with a "focus on transparency and interpretability of the complex processes involved in physics and AI-powered monitoring of wind turbine operations".
