Vestas has secured an order for 37MW of wind turbines for a an undisclosed project in Turkey.
The Danish turbine firm said the contract includes the supply and installation of six V162-6.2 MW wind turbines as well as a 10-year service agreement.
Delivery of the turbines is expected in the last quarter of this year and the project is due to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2024.
Turkey currently has an installed wind capacity of around 11GW, with Vestas turbines accounting for 1.3GW or a 10.84% market share in the country, according to Windpower Intelligence, the data and research division of Windpower Monthly.
