Vestas has announced provisional deals to supply 1.9GW of onshore and offshore turbines worldwide, including a 600MW wind farm off the coast of South Korea and two mystery projects in Brazil.

The Danish turbine maker secured a conditional agreement for two unnamed onshore wind farms in Brazil with a combined capacity of 1.3GW.

The manufacturer has not provided further details about the conditional agreement but stated that it plans to share more information “if and when the project translates into a firm and unconditional order”.

Developers in Latin America frequently build large onshore wind complexes or clusters divided into several smaller wind farms. The order could be for such projects.

Vestas has also secured a preferred supplier agreement for utility Korea South-East Power Company’s 600W Wando Geumil project off the coast of South Korea.

If the project off the coast of South Jeolla materialises, Vestas would supply 40 of its V236-15.0MW turbines and provide operations and maintenance services under a 20-year contract.

Delivery of the turbines is expected from the fourth quarter of 2025, ahead of commercial operations starting in the third quarter of 2026.
