French renewables developer Valorem is set to start building its first Greek wind farm at an altitude of 1,700 metres.
It is due to start building its 27MW Magoulia wind farm, located on the Askio Mountain in north-west Greece, before the end of the year.
The wind farm is due to consist of six of Vestas’ V150-4.5MW turbines, and is scheduled to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2024.
Valorem had won a feed-in tariff for the project in Greece’s auction in July 2020.
Greece’s Alpha Bank fully funded the €40 million project.
