Chinese turbine manufacturer Mingyang Smart Energy (MSE) has won a bid to supply China General Nuclear Power Group with 50 turbines for the power company’s planned 1GW offshore wind farm, Fanshiyi, due to be located 60km off the Chinese coast in Yangjiang.
The turbines will have a combined capacity of 700MW and will complete two sections of the project.
Delivery of Mingyang’s MySE 14-260 offshore wind turbines, which will make their domestic debut - is scheduled for Q3 in 2023.
